Every year, MLB has Jackie Robinson Day on April 15. Teams wear #42 to honor Jackie’s accomplishments. The giant #42 is in NY’s Citi Field Home of the NYMets. The Mets park is designed to resemble Ebbets Field, the Home of the Brooklyn Dodgers. The Numbers are placed inside the Jackie Robinson Rotunda.
The movie “42” comes out April 12.

I always found it weird that they would have something like this at Citi Field. Jackie Robinson didn’t even play for the Mets.
